I bought these two tickets, both for 6PM. They’re both bought on the Louvre site (not external tour company). Now I’m worried I should have got the Entry ticket for earlier, to make sure I’m at the tour location on time.

Yes, you need to enter early. But check your tickets again because there are no Welcome to the Louvre tours scheduled for the evening hours unless it’s a privately scheduled tour for a specific group. There are what they call Promenades in French during evening hours focusing on specific parts of the collection.

Thank you for the caution Elizabeth, but I do indeed have Welcome tour tickets for Friday at 6PM. I went ahead and emailed the Louvre, and they said I would not have a problem entering early; just show my tour tickets first. So, good news.

Let us know how it works out! We get a lot of questions about tours and this seems like a good time to go as hopefully the crowds might have thinned out.
