Hello, I am planning on booking the Louvre's guided tour for families/children on Sundays at 11.
Does anyone know if we are able to enter the Louvre at 9 when they open or do we need to wait until it's closer to the tour time? The website is unclear on this. I'd rather be there earlier versus after the tour.

The tours meet in the group reception area under the pyramid. This is an area before tickets are scanned. The tickets cannot be used for re-entry so if you were to enter museum at 9, you could mot use those same tickets when you entered with the tour group.
You indicated that you planned to visit on a Sunday. Make sure that is not the first Sunday of the month which is free entry day and it is packed.

Just a quick clarification that the Louvre no longer has free Sundays -- the free admission period is now the first Saturday of each month from 6:00 pm to 9:45 pm.
Thanks for that clarification. That will reduce crowds earlier in the day.
