Louvre Entrance and Paris Museum Pass

I have been unable to find out if the Paris Museum Pass is accepted at the Carrousel entrance. The official Louvre website states that the pyramid has a green queue line for ticket holders and Paris Museum Pass holders however the Carrousel makes no such mention.

If the pass is valid at the Carrousel, is this the better entrance to try? I have a 12:30 pm timed reservation.

Best I could get even reserving 2 months in advance.

If you have a reservation you can enter at the Carousel entrance (at least when we did it last -- they do change things up on occasion). When we visited the Louvre in November, they only allowed those with reserved tickets/reservations to enter at the carousel -- the tickets/pass themselves of course are read electronically at the wing entrances.

Well we entered from the Carrousel entrance and there was basically no line up. Got in maybe 25 minutes early. Was a snap.
Do not know what the entry was like up at the pyramid.

My experience in January was that the ticket was not actually scanned before going through security (at Carousel or at the top of the pyramid). You may need to line up based on your timed entry. The ticket is scanned when you enter the galleries. Tickets used to be available to purchase beyond security. I don’t know if that’s theoretically possible now, but in practice tickets always sell out in advance so the area between security and the ticketed entry is for the lockers, some food services, and the gift shop.
