Louvre and Musee d'Orsay tour guide - family with teens

Hello!

We're taking our girls to Paris in October. They'll be newly 12 and 14 years old. We plan to do a nighttime tour at the Louvre and also want to do the Musee d'Orsay. But, in my experience - both of these is so much better with a tour guide. Does anyone have a recommendation of a tour guide (can be small group) for these museums?

Thanks!

Iris Amice has a company A View of Paris. email: [email protected] or phone from the US 011-33-631-56-85-53.

Iris is the family tour guide for the Paris Walks company, and she is a fully certified guide, having passed the difficult exams given by the French government. I've even seen her on a PBS TV show describing Marie Antoinette's last moments from the Conciergerie to the guillotine. One note: I haven't been in contact with Iris for about 5 years, and a letter to the LA Times praising her, dates to 2016, so you'll have to verify this contact info.

Hello! We’re traveling with children of similar ages (10 and 15), and I found this thread while searching for the same thing. Wondering if there are any more Louvre suggestions!

We have currently booked a tour with LivTours, after having a great experience with them in Italy. But I’m not sure if they’re as established in Paris so I haven’t seen much info about it. I’m also a little hesitant about the timing, which is Thursday afternoon. So, I’m looking at other options as well.

I see Paris Muse recommended but they don’t quite work for our family’s ages.

Hi! We landed on booking the Lourve tour through Paris Walks and are doing a Musee d'Orsay tour through a company called "With Locals." Both had excellent reviews!
