Louvre admission with an EU and American

I am visiting the Louvre with an EU citizen who is 25, I would like to get the Paris museum pass to avoid the lines but from what I can see since she is 25 and an EU resident she doesn't need to pay but does that mean she needs to wait in line? Any suggestions of the best, cheapest and fastest way to enter so that we can stay together?
