Is Los Filosofos restaurant the same as Les Philisophes? If so, is this restaurant closed? If they are different restaurants, which is closed and the one that is open, do you recommend?

Les Philosophes is located on Rue Vieille-du-Temple and I heard that it is temporarily closed. I believe that it and Los Filosofos are the same place -- the words mean the same thing and they have the same address. The restaurant is owned by the chef who owns the restaurant that you asked about in the thread in which you asked for the name of the place. Les Philosphes is good -- not great or mind blowing but not a disaster and fine for what it is. The chef is well known and the place is hyped up a lot and some people I know who have been there have found it did not live up to the hype.

JHK, i agree, Les Philosophes is just ok. Ate there twice last year, that was enough.
