Lorgues, France

Has anyone been to Lorgues, France? A friend recommended Chez Bruno there for a wonderful meal. We are going to be working our way from Avignon to Nice and it seems like it is midway and would be a nice stopping point to see that area for a few days.

Looking for validation :)

If I remember from your other questions you are traveling in May. This is inland, always a bit hotter, but May won't be too bad. It has a lot of hills nearby that will have blooming wild flowers in May--not to be missed. On the other hand, it's in the middle of nowhere. If you are looking to get away from it all--this is it. Three days may be too many.

I suggest you consider Moustiers-Sainte-Marie for your stopping point. We spent three nights there on our way from the Nice area to Provence and it was delightful. The town is darling with many good dining options. We bought the hiking booklet from the TI and took several wonderful hikes, including up to the chain. We stayed at Clerissy - a pizzeria with nice rooms upstairs. Our room was large and had a walled terrace. The drive along the south rim of Gorges du Verdon was spectacular.
