We have signed up up for the RS Loire to the South of France tour this October.
I am trying to decide if I have should fly back to Paris, or take the train to back and make a few short stops, maybe Avignon?
Any recommendations?
At the moment, I'm inclined to fly back to Paris and spend a week there.
I feel my past times in Paris have always been too brief.
Sounds to me like you've answered your own question. There are no right or wrong answers; at least between your 2 choices. (Adding the disclaimer before Mr E suggests going to Budapest instead. : ) lol)
Or another option is to fly home from Nice where the tour ends - that's what I'm doing in April with that tour. I'm flying into Paris a few days early and then home from Nice. You could set it up as a multi-city trip with one airline or 2 separate one way tickets on different airlines if you want. But then again your idea of spending extra time in Paris is an excellent idea - there's always so much to see and experience in Paris. Enjoy the tour - I'm looking forward to it as well!
Where is your destination. We are on the West coast and alway face the same problem. This year we are making the same route you are. Tour ends in Nice. We have chosen to catch a late morning flight to Paris. Very cheap. 4 hour layover and a non stop the Seattle. Safe travels!
