Looking for ideas for 4 days after Paris

We are spending a week in a timeshare outside Paris. We plan on spending at least 3 days in Paris and are taking day trips to Versailles and Reims. We have 4 days afterwards before our flight home. We'd like to stay within 3 hours of Paris. Possibilities we've thought about are Brussels, Colmar, Lyon - any ideas or recommendations would be appreciated.

I'd do Amsterdam or Alsace or if you would have a car Burgundy or the Loire. Brussels? Do 3 more days in Paris instead. Frankly 3 days is really low for Paris if you are new to it. You need to be back in Paris the night before you flight home assuming you are flying to the US. Don't count on an early morning train when the stakes are that high (we once came in 5 hours late on the Thalys.

I liked Colmar and Lyon a great deal, but if this is your first trip to Paris, I agree that those additional days should be spent there. If you just don't want that much big-city experience, you probably would be better off in Colmar than in Lyon.

Provence? TGV to Avignon or Nice? That's about 3 hours from Paris

Do you want more city time or more relaxed time?

Avignon could work, but Nice is more like 6 hours from Paris by TGV.
