I own a small maison de ville in a historic town in the Languedoc. I would love to share my place for 7 days (no charge) in mid to late October if you were willing to drive to some great hiking spots and be my hiking partner. . I can share the cost of a car rental. I am a professional woman in my sixties but very fit and enjoy day hikes of 5-6 hours....I know a lot of them in this beautiful region. Looking for easy-going, pleasant person who likes good food, wine, being outdoors, seeing historic sites and nature and is an easygoing companion. Male or female.

Thank goodness, note123, when I first read the subject line here I feared your hiking partner was lost in southern France, and you hoped forum participants could somehow help you find your friend. Or maybe were just looking for some group sympathy. Could be quite lonely to be in a strange land and have a hiking partner go lost. So, a sigh of relief!
