Does anyone know of a bank with an indoor ATM in Paris, 7th arr? I don’t feel safe using a street ATM.
The 7th is a big area. Where in the 7th are you?
Yes, knowing your location would be helpful.
There is a semi-enclosed one at this BNP Paribas bank at the corner of Rue Chevert and Avenue de Tourville. The ATM is angled into the wall so you are slightly off the street and slightly visible to the folks in the bank. As a solo female traveler I use this one all the time and have never felt "exposed" as I do on one of the typical "flat" ones in a wall.
I believe the Caisse d'Epargne on rue Cler has one, too, at least during opening hours. The majority of larger Paris bank branches seem to have indoor ATMs anyway.
Even if they have outside ATMs (DAB in French) many if not most BNP Paribas and Credit Agricole branches have indoor machines as well.
Rue St. Dominique, near Blvd de la Tour Maubourg
Google ATM, then do Google Street view
I did actually Google ATM on Google Maps out of interest this afternoon but the only ones that came up were the expensive ones in corner shops. They're the ones to avoid.
I googled bancomat which gave several choices both regular banks and just ATMs. The 2 closest to you had outside ATMs, but both looked like they might also have an indoor choice, especially the HSBC 85 Rue Saint-Dominique.
don't stress, just keep eyes open as you walk around. In Paris there are banks and pharmacies on every street corner, usually several.
