We are a family of 5 adults
Looking to spend around 5 days in Aix-en-Provence. We’ll also spend a few days first in Paris and then in Nice. Looking to find a villa in Aix. We will most likely have a car but would prefer someplace within walking distance to a cafe (or two) and town. Any suggestions? A pool would also be lovely!

gites-de-france is a great place to find a villa. we have used them often to find lodgings, from one night chambres d'hotes to 10 night rentals. Predates Airbandb and way more trustworthy, IMO.

We rented a lovely villa from www.provenceholidays.com a couple of years ago in Uzes. They do have some in Aix and I would certainly rent from them again. They were very professional and the villa was absolutely beautiful.

I just spent a week at a large house (I guess it's a villa -- has a swimming pool and is surrounded by umpteen acres of its own olive groves etc.) in the very small town of Cadenet, about half an hour north of Aix and just south of Lourmarin. My friends have been renting it for a month summer after summer. If you're interested in that location, message me and I can give you details.

Can you walk to town from the villa? Any local cafes, restaurants, etc?
