We will be in St. Emilion later this month and are interested in visiting some wineries in the area. Does anyone know of a driver who can arrange visits to some wineries and drive us to them? Thanks.

We visited Bordeaux a couple of years ago on an independent basis and used a driver/guide through Tours by Locals. The winery visits and tastings were arranged by the guide. My husband gave some general guidance ahead as to the types of wine we would like to taste but left the actual selection up to the guide. Do not remember the person's name but he was a sommelier and working on his professorship in oenology. We were extremely pleased with our two days - one in St. Emilion and the other on the other side. So much wonderful wine!! I recommend you check Tours by Locals as our experience was excellent. We were picked up at our hotel in Bordeaux and we had some time to walk around and enjoy the lovely village of St. Emilion on the second day. He also assisted us with selecting wines at a shop in St. Emilion to bring home. My husband invested in a wine suitcase that had to be checked through as luggage. No breakage!!
