I know this is a long shot, but here goes: We were at MSM the first part of May (amazing place) and passed through the sizable gift shop on the way out of the abbey. It was quite crowded with tour groups and we needed to get going, so we decided not to wait in line to purchase something we found for our son - a model trebuchet kit. Big mistake. We never saw anything like it the rest of the trip, and we really regretted not getting it for him.
Would anyone traveling to MSM be willing to purchase a kit on our behalf? We could PayPal the funds to you at the time of purchase or in advance, then we'll arrange to get it from you when you get back. (We live near Chicago.)
I know this sounds like one of those scams where people ask others to buy things for them, but we really are legit. We don't normally go to these lengths for a gift for son (he's 27), but this is something cool and I'm sure he'd love it for Christmas.
