Long Layover at CDG

My husband and I have a long layover at CDG in Paris. We arrive at about 11 p.m., and depart at 8:30 a.m. the next morning. I do not plan to spend all that time in the airport, or a hotel. I want to see Paris, even if it is from the back seat of a taxi. Anybody have suggestions of how to make this happen? We know the places we want to go, and take pictures, we know that nothing will be open or accessible (except Pere Lachaise, where we plan to go), but we just want to record that we were actually there. Neither of us speak French. Thank you for your suggestions.

Parisonadime: Well, phooie! I guess at 65 I'm too old to climb the wall. I was really looking forward to spending some time with Jim Morrison (how cliche!).

Bets: Thank you! My husband likes the looks of that what tripsaside.com has to offer. Inquiries have been sent.

Remember you need to be back at CDG 3 hours prior to your take off time and also it takes 30-45 minutes to get to/from CDG to central Paris

and will take up to an hour to disembark from the plan, go through immigration, (recover your luggage if any), and make it out to curbside to find a taxi. Then 20-30- minutes to get into town, assuming no traffic or odd night closures on the A1 or peripherique.

Well, if you can't find something better to do -- we stayed overnight at the IBIS across from terminal 3 and they rent rooms for €14 per hour. 2 hour minimum.
