Loire Valley Castles shuttle help

I am looking to do a day trip from Paris to Loire Valley and see both Chambord and Cheverny.
Planning to take the train into Blois and check the Navette/Remi shuttle. Has anyone personally used the shuttle? I found the schedule online but just slightly confused about what time I should catch the shuttle between Chambord, Cheverny, and back to Blois. If anyone has done this, details on how much time to spend where and which time to catch the shuttle legs are appreciated!

My daughter and I took this shuttle, while staying in Amboise (2016)

When will you be going?

There are two navette schedules here
The blue schedule - valid 4/9 - 6/29/22
& 9/1 -11/6/22.

I will explain the green schedule which is valid from July 2- August 31, 2022.

  • The shuttle bus will depart the Blois train station at 9:15am, and you will arrive at Chambord Chateau at 9:50am.

  • If you want to go to Cheverny Chateau,
you’ll need to be back at the bus stop (where you were dropped off or ask driver) before the bus arrives at 12noon, and then will arrive at Cheverny chateau at 12:30pm.

  • Once again you’ll need to wait for the bus to take you back to Blois at 14:50 (2:50pm), and arrive back at the train station at 15:25 (3:25pm)

  • Cost of shuttle: €6 round trip.

  • Present shuttle ticket when buying chateau ticket for possible 1-2€ ticket discount.

As you can see you’ll have around 2 hours to visit each castle.

Please note: The shuttle bus (check photo of blue bus on link with schedules or here)
will be located at the parking lot left of train station - at least that’s where it was when we were there.

I’d urge you to check at the tourist office, before going to Blois, to confirm above information.

Hope this helps!

P.S. I forgot to mention. I recall waiting for the bus after visiting Cheverny- so the bus may be running a few minutes late.

Priscilla thank you!

That is really helpful. I will be going on a Sunday in October. Did you purchase shuttle tickets online? And there is no need to purchase Chateau tickets ahead of time it sounds like?

We were there in June, and I actually purchased the chateau tickets at the TI in Amboise.
I paid the bus driver for the shuttle tickets and then found out that I could have received a discount for the chateau ticket.

You can also visit BEAUREGARD chateau, after visiting Cheverny, but we were tired and just took the shuttle back to the station.

We also visited the Blois Castle on a different day., and Chenonceau Chateau (our favorite) on another day via public bus.

Do consider spending at least a couple of nights in Amboise, especially if you want to visit Chenonceau castle.
