We are doing a one-way 10 day barge/canal trip from Negra to Argens on the Canal du Midi in September. We plan to drop our rental car off in Toulouse prior to the trip and probably at the airport. Then fly out of Toulouse after the trip. The question is getting from and back to Toulouse, preferably on public transportation. Has anybody done the train/taxi route in that area? I know the LocaBoat people will have recommendations, but I always like to hear from fellow travelers. Lastly, is there a decent hotel near the airport?
