Hi! I’m afraid I can’t chime in yet as I’m also looking for similar info. When are you going? My husband and I will be in Provence in mid-November. What made you decide to use St. Remy for your base? I’m torn between Remy-Avignon-Aix. One thing I have been strongly recommended to do is rent a car for the region, so that’s something we’re planning on.

We are going mid April 2023

haha I picked St. Remy from a recommendation from one of the posts on this website. Said it was a good central location.

I’m sorry I didn’t catch your reply until now! I’m new to this site so am getting the hang of things…

My husband and I will be in St. Remy next month so I’ll let you know how it goes! :-)

We enjoyed . Le Chateau des Alpilles - expensive but we thought it was worth it. Lovely hotel and grounds just outside St Remy (easy in get in and out, especially for day trips), easy parking, large rooms (by French standards) with comfortable beds and wonderful restaurant.

Our daughter has stayed at La Maison du Village, which is a guest house/bed and breakfast right in the town and she liked it a lot - small, personal but you do have to reserve parking and I don't think that the staff spoke very much English (nit a problem for our bi-lingual daughter but might be for me).

Whatever you do, have a wonderful time!
