Lodging recommendations

Looking for recommendations for lodging in Latin Quarter or Saint-Louis arrondissements. We have 6 nights so wondering if apartments/airbnbs might be a better option than hotels? Thanks in advance!

Short term apartment rentals have a number of concerns. You might prefer hotels. What is your budget window per night in euros, what month are you visiting, and many people are "we"?

Thank you for your response. It’s my husband and I and we are in our 70s. We would be traveling first week of May and around €200 a night or less if possible.

To see what is available in your price range I would check Booking.com and use the filters on the left side for price range and area. It will give you an idea of what is out there. IMO AirBandB type places are harder to find in Paris. Maybe an aparthotel company like Citadines would work, although many non-hotel rentals do not rent for less than a week. Best of luck!

If this is your first visit to Paris, I would recommend a hotel. Having a concierge or front desk to point you in the right direction and answer questions is very reassuring.

Take a look at Hotel Minerve or their sister property Hotel Familia. They may have something in your budget. It's in a great location only a 10 to 15 minute walk to Notre Dame, Sainte-Chapelle, the Pantheon and Luxembourg Gardens with many restaurants and cafes nearby. Nearby bus stops and metro can take you anywhere.

Keep in mind that hotel rooms in Paris can be quite small. So read the descriptions carefully.

Not sure what their rates will be in May, but consider staying in the very center of Paris. If you stay on Ile St. Louis, you'll be right in the heart of Paris and about as centrally located as can be. It's right behind Notre Dame, a metro stop is close by, and there are several good places to eat on the main street.

There are a number of hotels on the island. We've stayed at Hotel des Deux-Iles and were very pleased. They also have a sister hotel on the island.

If you decide to stay on the island, we can tell you about a several places to eat.

Thanks for the helpful information! We stayed in Montmartre and in Saint-Louis in 2022 and liked both areas, but SL was our favorite as it is quiet and the location is excellent. Will explore the hotels you mentioned.
