You can find day tours that will take you to the WWII beaches, sites. Base in Bayeux.
I think that the best options are with Overlord tours. We took the DDay tour from Bayeaux.
Are you looking specifically for D-Day-related tours? I believe most of the companies doing group tours (usually small groups in vans) also offer private tours if you're looking for something just for you travel party. Chec the websites for companies like Overlord Tours and Dale Booth. Actually, I'm not sure Dale Booth does anything other than private tours.
There are other invasion-tour companies out there; the two above are the ones that seem to be mentioned most often.
Rick's guidebooks usually provide names and contact information for guides in the areas he covers.
I have booked an April tour with Mathias Leclere on the recommendation of someone else on this forum who thought he was great...
Mathias was our tour guide he was amazing. So informative!
Sylvain Kast is terrific! Great communication beforehand; personable and extremely knowledgeable. https://www.d-day-experience-tours.com/tours/
We used Chris Emery about 5 years ago. He was wonderful. You arrange to meet him in your rental car at the train station in Bayeux. You drive to the sites with him and he tells the stories; often augmented by old photos on a tablet so you can see "then and now". Chris is a British combat veteran who has a feel for terrain, tactics, as well as historical knowledge. The kids (young adult/teenagers) loved it.
I think the website is Visit-Dday or something like that.
