Live music in Paris

My husband and I will be in Paris November 6-12 for the DaVinci show and other museums. He loves the Blues and would like to hear some or other live music during our stay. Does anyone have recommendations?
Thank you in advance.

I'd suggest the best option is a live jazz show. There are quite a few small venues around Paris. You'll need to get tickets ahead of time or you may be able to ask the Concierge at your lodging for help. I'm usually at hostels - so no Concierge option.

Another good option is the nightly classical concerts at Sainte-Chapelle. Going to the concert skips the long line during the day. The venue is amazing, especially if you attend before the sun sets so you can see the light through the stained glass. I think the normal performance is Vivaldi's Four Seasons. I tried to pick something else but other options didn't work for my schedule. The show is decent, not amazing, but the venue is pretty awesome. They have a higher priced front section seating that includes a glass of champagne. IMO it's not worth paying extra. The venue is small and you can see well from any seat, especially since you're mostly looking up at the arches and windows.

The Philharmonie is an amazing concert building worth the trip to just see it and if your taste for live museum extends to the classical, sometimes jazz, take a look at what is playing there when you are in Paris. Other than that the suggestion for jazz clubs is the best advice. We were there during a jazz festival last spring and heard a great concert in St. Germain church so you might also see if there are any multi day events like that while you are in town.
