Does anyone have a suggestion for learning of live music in Paris in May - symphony, classical and the like? Not pop/rock.
Thanks.
Maybe this might interest you:
For years there have been classical concerts at Sainte-Chapelle. They used to perform Four Seasons nightly but it looks like they are doing them Fri/Sat/Sun thru March to the end of April then adding some nights. The venue is stunning, of course and I really enjoyed the music! You used to be able to buy tickets the day of at the brasserie across the street from the Sainte-Chapelle entrance but not sure if that is still available - due to both Covid and the terrorist trial at the Palace of Justice. Sainte-Chapelle is in the middle of the Palace.

Thanks for that info. I've also found information about performances at Musee de l'Armee Invalides.
Dress code advice needed as well. I realize that might somewhat depend on the venue but we want to be sure to dress appropriately.
Try this website that is updated weekly. The new, paper version is on sale every Thursday ( maybe Wednesday). I’ve turned it to the classical listings for you, but there are hundreds of all genres.

There are dozens of concerts on Sunday afternoons scattered around the city in various churches, free but the hat is always passed to support the artists.
Rick in his guidebook discusses options for hearing classical music in sacred venues. There are many. One of which is the lovely church in St. Germain des Pres, pop in and look for the handouts on the table.
I know this sounds old-fashioned, but flyers get posted on the bulletin boards and lightposts on the streets around Shakespeare & Company that list small church concerts, etc.
Many thanks for all of the helpful information!
you can also check out the ticket office at a FNAC location, they have a lot of postings
Paris is a great music city! Musée de l’Armée concerts are excellent, I’ve been to several, most held in the beautiful Cathédrale Saint Louis.
Philharmonie de Paris hosts a wide variety of concerts:

Others have mentioned the FNAC. Their website is a good resource for advance planning and booking. (Although I most often book direct at the event website.)

If you are planning a visit to the Château de Versailles, check out their concert/opera/ballet schedule, lots of events in May.
Merci, everyone! I have learned of many events that sound enjoyable.
And I learned that one of my husband's favorite artists, Joe Bonamassa, will be in Paris when we are there. I told my husband he may not go again. :) He's seen him three times, most recently just 4 weeks ago. New experiences required on this trip!
But Joe might sing the Edith Piaf songbook, or Johnny Hallyday's greatest hits. You never know.
