My wife and I are visiting Paris in August. We'd like to do Eiffel Tower near sunset (sunset is a little after 9:00PM). All advance tickets are sold out, so I'm planning on either using stairs to floor 2, or maybe buying a tour from Viator (or similar). My main quesition: Is the wait for elevator from floor 2 up to summit usually long at that time of day and year? Any other thoughts or advice are appreciated also.
