We are traveling from Paris -Bruge and onto Amsterdam in April.
Is Lille worth a stop?
How about Ghent?
What would be a good home base for day trips ?

Lille is not very touristy - we did stop there for lunch.

Lille is a cool city with some good bars and Northern French food. There is a huge aquarium north of Lille and Lille itself has a nice old town and fine arts museum. Also Rheims is interesting. Some advice on day trips from Paris https://theparisshortlist.com/best-day-trips-from-paris/ as not sure only done a few e.g to Normandy and Champagne region which is a nice base if you like champagne!

Lille has a very nice art museum. But because Bruges and Gent are a "spur" trip from Brussels or Antwerp, you may do better to concentrate on Flanders
