Two years ago in Paris, my wife and I stopped to listen to a Ukranian folk band playing in the Metro (Chatelet, I think). I really enjoyed their music, and should have bought one of their CDs, but I screwed up and didn't buy one.
Anyway, we'll be back in Paris in September, and would love to hear these guys play again.
The name of their group is Les Musiciens de Lviv. Does anyone here know where we might go to hear them play.......like a nightclub, cafe or restaurant?
Failing that, does anyone know where we might make an inquiry about this group?
PS: You can see & hear them on YouTube by entering Caberet Slave in the search block.
They have a Facebook page, but nothing posted in the last 2 years. You can find cd's on-line. including Amazon.
Thanks for the info, Sam.
Unfortunately I don't do Facebook (or Potatobook, as my wife calls it.) The CDs listed on Amazon are over $50 each. I did get a used CD from eBay for $10, though.
Anyway, I really want to hear these guys "live and in person".
A long shot. Do the metro station musicians have to be licensed? If so and you can figure out the licensing agency you might be able to get a contact number.
On their FB page it gives this email address to contact them:
Many thanks, Susan! I'll give it a try.
I hope they respond and you get to see them!
