Les Chambres d'Art, Bordeaux

Has anyone here stayed at this guesthouse? The reviews are great, and the price is in our acceptable range (looks like about €160 per night, breakfast included.)

I've looked at a couple of other hotels recommended by Forum folk; one (4 Soeurs) gets terrible reviews; one (des Voyageurs) doesn't seem to be accepting reservations for next September yet, and another (Best Western Premier HBEO Bordeaux Centre) is out of our price range.

We'd like to be in the city center, price near €150 or so. We'll be staying 3 nights, before the RS Basque tour starts in Bayonne. Any other suggestions would be welcome.

No experience with it yet, but it's city-center and looks fine, with good reviews.

Thanks, meg99; I'll tuck that away for future reference. I went ahead and booked Chambres d'Art, because all of a sudden everything fell into place - for Porto after the Portugal tour, getting from Porto to Bordeaux, getting from Bordeaux to Bayonne for the Basque tour.. all the dates lined up. I figured I'd better jump on it.

I will look up your hotel, just in case... life being what it is, one never knows what's coming.

Oh, and the price of Chambres d'Art turned out to be €137 per night!
