LeGrand Colbert

Does (did?) anyone strongly recommend Le Grand Colbert 2 Rue Vivienne) I think I will cancel our reservation as it’s a bit pricier than I thought!

We had lunch there with a French friend a few years ago. Had seen it in the Jack Nicholsen, Helen Hunt movie 'As Good as it Gets' -- they had the movie showing on a loop in the restroom. The food was okay but not outstanding.

I find that with restaurants, everything now is a bit pricier than we thought. Our old bargain places are now pricey and our old splurge places are out of reach.

Do I STRONGLY recommend it, no. The food is o.k. And if you are a “Something’s Gotta Give” fan it is fun. But I can think of several places I would rather eat.

All the restaurants in Paris are a bit pricier than anyone expects. So are the hotels.

Had one of the worst meals I've ever had in Paris there. I don't recommend at all.

oops wrong movie but the right one is nevertheless running in their restroom on continuous loop -- or was way back when we had lunch there.
