Left Luggage in Beaune

Hi, we'll be going via train early from Lyon to Paris on a Saturday in September, and will make a stop in Beaune, with the goal to see the Hotel Dieu, check out the market, walk the town a bit and have lunch, spend 4-5 hours total and jump back on the train. There is not a left luggage facility at the station, and I have written to the TI and received the response that they do not have a place for bags.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to where we could leave a couple of rolling carry-ons for a few hours?

I don't recall if there are luggage lockers at Beaune station. You might contact the Hotel de France, across the street from the station. Perhaps lunch there and they'll let you leave your bags for a few hours. They have very good food.

Rick's book does say that there are no lockers at Beaune station, so I think you just have to start asking the likeliest and friendliest looking people near there, perhaps at a café that will be open most of the day.

In case anyone needs the same, I received a message back from Hotel de France that one can leave luggage for 3 euro per bag at the reception. Reception is closed from noon-3:30. As Sam pointed out, the Hotel de France is across from the station.

Thanks Sam!
