Left luggage at Avignon TGV ?

Does anyone know if there are lockers or a left luggage office at the Avignon TGV station?

Rosalyn,
According to RS France book (2015), there is no baggage storage at the new TGV Avignon station.

The official page on the SNCF website also does not mention any left-luggage facilities.

Rosalyn,
Check here for more information about left luggage at various train stations:http://www.seat61.com/luggage-lockers-at-stations.htm#Left_luggage_lockers_in_Paris

You may also check here for French train stations: http://www.gares-sncf.com/fr

Once on this website, type name of train station (city) on the yellow rectangle that reads; "Chercher une gare" (find a station), then scroll down to see what services are provided for said station.

Thanks everyone for confirming what I was beginning to believe; namely that there is no place to store luggage there. Now, my next question is does anyone have a suggestion about what to do with our bags?

We will be staying in Uzes. We thought to drive to Avignon; dump the car; store our bags; and spend the day. catching the 5:45 train for CDG. I guess we could spend our day elsewhere and get to Avignon with enough time to attend to returning the car. Other thoughts?

Rosalyn,

Here are a couple of options I thought about:

  • Call the car rental agency & ask about the possibility of holding
your bags for a few hours.

  • Consider calling the TI office & they may have some helpful
    ideas for you.

  • Drive South to St. Remy then return car later.

Thanks so much, Priscilla. Calling the car rental agency is a great idea, but the others look promising, too.

That link to the Avignon Centre station says this: "There is a lost property service at the station, located at the welcome desk (Accueil). Opening Hours: 12:00 – 16:00 daily. Avignon Centre station does not currently offer luggage storage facilities."
