What experiences has anyone had renting a self-drive boat from LeBoat? We want to travel in May. What will be the best river or canal at that time of year? We don't want to go to Languedoc this trip. Thanks.

We have not rented from LeBoat (only Locaboat) -- I imagine you could Google some reviews of them?
Although we traveled in September (not May) we very much liked the route we took. We started in Agen, on the Garonne Canal, then travelled to Buzet, where we entered the River Baise. It was a great trip. Lovely little towns on the Baise. We found we much preferred the river to the canal. Very little traffic. Gorgeous scenery.
Locaboat has a base in Agen; LeBoat has a base in Buzet.
