Le Longchamp Elysees or Hotel Odeon Saint Germain (Passy or St Germain)?

Hi all! I'm stuck on a hotel room. Trying to decide between Le Longchamp Elysees or Hotel Odeon Saint Germain. 15yo son and I are traveling for 3 nights in early July. His first trip to Paris. If it were just me I'd choose Saint Germain. My first trip in 20 years and a little anxious traveling alone with my son. Both hotels are similar in cost, similarly reviewed, and both offer a room with a separate sofa bed rather than 2 twins pushed together. I think location is the deciding factor between the two. I'm not sure how easy it will be to get around the city in early July given the approaching Olympics, so maybe the Passy is more walkable to sites? Thank you for any help or advice!

What sights do you plan to visit? The Hotel Odeon Saint Germain is way closer to sights, except the Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysees, than the Passy neighborhood. I have never stayed at Le Longchamp Elysees and I did not look up its location before replying but Passy generally is not exactly as central as the area where the Hotel Odeon Saint Germain is located. We have stayed at the Hotel Odeon Saint Germain and really enjoyed the location and our rooms -- we are a family of four and had adjoining rooms. Do some Google maps walking directions between the places you want to go and both hotels and I think you will see that the Hotel Odeon Saint Germain is better located for walking to most of the main sights.

Love st Germain and the hotel is around the corner from Maison Mulot my favorite patisserie. We were there in April. Well known sites were already being blocked off for the Olympics, and of course Norte Dame is under scaffolding. It is what it is. St Germain would be my choice.

As both JHK and KD have said, I would much prefer the St Germain option location-wise. To me, Passy feels really far from everything, while St Germain is quite central.
