Four of us will be in Montreux in October. We would like to take a cruise on Lake Geneva but the site that keeps coming up in my search only has cruises through October 12 which is the day we arrive. We won't get there in time. We are only staying in Montreux for 2 nights (not something we can rearrange at this point), so we would like a a short cruise on October 13. We would be willing to do a private cruise if we could find one. Any ideas? Thanks.
Take a train to Lausanne. There are cruises from there operating after Oct 12.
Great idea, thanks!
Reminder that Montreux is in Switzerland
Cruise from Lausanne on the Winter schedule, that begins Oct 13, cross the lake to Evian-les-Bains, France. Its where that ubiquitous bottled water comes from. The crossing is 35 minutes, Hang around and have lunch, then a return boat to Lausanne.
When you arrive at Lausanne station from Montreux, you will have to take the Metro from the station down to the lakefront and walk to the ferry dock, about 250 yds away. Reverse the process on the way back. Look at the schedule at www.sbb.ch/en, You can put in Montreux as the start, and Evian-les-Bains as destination. Ignore any solutions that do not include the boat.
Ugh! Sorry...thougt I was on the Switzerland forum!
Well, Hey! They speak French. That must count for something.
