Traveling to Paris at the end of March. Looking for some fun, tasty, unique non-touristy places to eat in the Latin Quarter!
Hey Todd, in the 5th we liked au Pot Au Lait. Good savory and sweet crepes with a good bottle of cider, over near rue Mouffetard, a nice market street.
For a special dinner, venture over to Le Timbre in the 6th on rue St Beauve for excellent "Cuisine Traditionelle"-try the fried foie gras with figs, it's out of this world. Small place, one chef, a couple waiters, it's very very good. Reservation recommended.
Enjoy Paris and it's incredible food opportunities!

I haven't eaten there in several years, but I really liked Au Pied de Fouet on rue Saint Benoit.
You might also check out David Lebovitz' blog. He has lots of great restaurant suggestions.
We also liked Timbre--not easy to find. There are lots of non touristy restaurants in the area behind the Pantheon. PreVerre is very good and reservation is needed. It is on Rue Thenard and near the Cluny.
We enjoyed L'Epoque on rue Cardinal Lemoine, just north of the Place Contrescarpe. Also the Café Descartes across the street and a little down the hill.
