Latin Quarter and Montmartre

With my 21 year old….we are walking latin quarter and montmarte tomorrow. It’s our last day in France. I’m looking to determine which one is better for day versus night from her perspective. We will spend a half day at each location. Lots of stops on the left bank -(Shakespeare, Notre Dame, Lux Gardens etc) so I’m learning towards starting over there but could be swayed. Any opinions?

I'd do the Luxembourg Gardens in the day time! If you are there around lunch (and the weather is nice) I like the small outdoor cafe La Terrasse du Madame which is near the Medici Fountain.

Are you Midnight in Paris fans? The steps where Gil was picked up by the time-traveling taxi is nearby - just behind the Pantheon.

I was there last week and like this plan, Luxe Gardens during day and the bistro in the garden or one in-between the two locales. Hard to go wrong.

Great advice, We will look into the lunch and time transport as we will be right there. Thanks

I think the Luxembourg Gardens are closed at night. I remember being there while police were ushering people out early one evening, still daylight. Lots of whistle blowing. But that was 20 years ago, so maybe it's changed.

Sacre Coeur is gorgeous at night, as are the views of Paris. We always do Montmartre at night for this reason.
