Late Night Car Rental - Loire Valley train Station to Bayeux

We are arriving to the Gare de St Pierre des Corps from CDG airport on a Saturday between 6:00 and 8:00pm (depending on what train we catch). We wanted to rent a car to keep with us for the next few days around Loire valley and then drive up to Bayeux. It looks like all of the car rental places close early or are not open on Saturdays. Does anybody have a car rental company they recommend that could accommodate this?

I am also open to arriving at another train station. However when I looked at renting a car in Amboise, it was only through Europcar and they didn't have a drop off station in Bayeux for the end of our trip. Does anybody know if there is a drop off station in Bayeux or another car company in Amboise?

Any other suggestions on how to get a car late Saturday night? I'd like to avoid backtracking to a station or city to get a car Sunday morning. (TBD where we are staying so we have some flexibility there)

Thanks!

I don't know if there is an Avis location in Bayeux (there is one in Caen) but you could look into renting the car using the SNCF/Avis partnership that allows you to pick up a car from a train company employee at times when the Avis office is closed. I know there is an Avis office at Sant Pierre des Corps. Take a look at https://www.sncf.com/sncv1/en/getting-there/idavis. I've used the service and it worked well. I have also suggested it to others and it has worked out for them as well.

There is a Europcar at Caen rail station, just down the line from Bayeux. And if you’re ending your trip in Paris or at CDG, you’d take the train through Caen anyway.

Definitely more drop-off options in Caen than Bayeux, and like the previous poster said, your train goes through Caen anyway.

As far as heading out, from where and when are you flying into CDG? If you're not too tired, why not just pick up your car at CDG and drive to the Loire? Driving out of Paris on a Saturday evening shouldn't be too bad.
