Late night arrival at Nice airport tonight

Hello! My daughter’s flight has been delayed tonight and she doesn’t land until midnight. What is the best way for her to get to Place Massena? Thank you.

Tell her to take a taxi. That would be my suggestion no matter the arrival time. Fixed rate is 32€.

Taxi over uber? I don't care about the fare, but I know these young kids feel very comfortable in uber.

She can take Uber if she prefers. It’s available in Nice and usually cheaper though with surge pricing, it might not be. Here is how to get an Uber at Nice airport: https://www.uber.com/global/en/airports/nce/ People I know who have used Uber for this trip complained about finding the meet-up spot at the airport. I have not done it myself. Hence, my hesitancy in initially suggesting Uber. I mean you could also arrange a car service that will meet her at the baggage carousel for around 35€, but the one I know of https://www.friend-in-france.com/airport-transfers-1/PRIVATE-TRANSFERS-CAR-1-4-passengers-c18923014 may require more notice than you have.

Friend in France is less than a taxi! Have you used it? I never like a young girl traveling alone... Once she meets up with her friends, I will relax. LOL

Friend In France is 3€ more than a taxi. It’s what I used when my now 21-year-old daughter was flying into Nice alone. No complaints or issues. We used taxis when the entire family was traveling and that was back in the days when Nice taxi drivers were busy building their reputations as the worst in France. Now that there is a fixed rate, taxis are my go-to option but my husband insists on a private car service when I or our daughter are traveling alone.

Friend in France is fantastic and incredibly reliable. They greet you after you get your luggage and hold a sign with your name on it. Both drivers I had were friendly and a perfect entry and exit to the Côte d’Azur.

This response is likely too late for your daughter, but I'll add it for completeness and for other readers. Uber is usually very reliable, and costs less than half the price of a taxi. The app, however, may be telling the wrong directions to catch the Uber. From Terminal 1, for example, the driver will likely want to meet in Parking lot P3, not outside the doors D4 as indicated by the app. The old meeting location was at the door D4, but since December the airport circulation has changed with the launch of the new tram and the debut of a premium lot (which my last driver told me now requires an expensive annual membership). The exit to take for P3 is from the bus station area, to the left as one exits arrivals or the one before marked for Taxis. One then crosses the road to the P3 pickup area.

Thanks All! After all that, she actually arrived JUST in time to catch the last 98 bus into town at 11:50 p.m. :) She is safe and sound. Thank you for all the help!
