The only option (RER) to Paris showing in that website is to charles de gaulle airport.

If you put in departure station - Versaiiles, Arrival station - Paris and the dates it will show the times

I think that schedule link is for the SNCF Transillien, not the Paris Metro RER C. The last time I can find on the RER C, leaves at 11:04 pm but I'm not sure if that is all the time, or if it varies by time of year and/or day of week and I don't know what time you will arrive in Paris. Then you have to determine where you are going in Paris - will you need to use the Metro from the RER C to your final destination and how late does that Metro line run?

Looking at the Transilien site for Jan 31, 11:55 pm. It goes to Javel, there may be night work going between there and other stations in Paris. There has been an ongoing project there. The site says switch to the Metro to get to Gare d'Austerlitz which I used as the destination, so you'd take the No 10 Metro from there, for other stations, like St Michel-Notre Dame, another transfer would be required.
The site shows that after midnight, you could get the night bus from Versailles Chantier to Gare Montparnasse and get another night bus to "close" to where you want to go.

Deustche Bahn also reflects RER schedules, although it's probably less detailed than the Transilien site. I see the last direct RER on my test date departing Versailles Château Rive Gauche station at 22:25, then one at 22:55 that requires a connection but doesn't take much longer, and then additional later trains with connections and taking an hour or more. If you'll be back late to your Paris hotel, be sure to check the plan for reception at that time.

@Laura,

I see two options one for the TER and another for RER. I'm doing this correctly ?

Where do you want to go back to in Paris? The TER (designated as the "L" train) leaves from Versailles Rive Droite station at 12 past midnight going to Gare St Lazare. The last RER C that goes all the way to St Michel-Notre Dame is at 10:37 pm. After that, they only go as far as Javel until 11:55 pm where you have to change to the Metro No 10 line.

Dear Luis,

The Versailles performances are always extraordinary, with world class ensembles. I've been to a number of them, and never missed the last RERC to Paris.

It may be a brisk walk back to the station, but the memory of the Opera Royale, the Chapelle Royale, or any other venue there will last a lifetime.

At the intermission, take your flute of champagne or Perrier and look out the windows at the fountains sparkling in the dark just for you.

When you arrive at the station on the way to the Chateau, confirm the last train time with the station agent. When you return to the station, there is just one train leaving, so no confusion, it goes to Paris. And, if all else fails, there is a taxi rank or night bus.

Which performance are you seeing?

Have a great evening!

Hi,

The bus 171 only goes to the Pont de Sevres metro stop, where you will need to take a bus or metro on into Paris. I could help more with pricing if I knew what metro station you will be staying near, and the dates of your stay in Paris? And if you're thinking about a Navigo Pass Decouverte.

From the link you sent, the Charpentier (yes!) concert begins at 8:30 pm and ends at 10:15 pm, no intermission. So you will be able to take the RER C from Versailles Chateau station at either 10:51 pm or 11:21 pm. It only takes 15 minutes to walk to the station from the Opera Royale entrance to the Chateau. (Check these times again at the end of March).
