I know references to pre-ordering Lascaux IV tickets has been mentioned more than once on the forum, but I can't locate them using the search function, except for very old references. I'm looking to order tickets for the afternoon of June 13. I want the official site but, after success with Font de Gaume, I am now struggling with the official site to order Lascaux tickets. I think I am going crazy. Please help with a link that is not for a tour company, but with the official monuments site. I am having trouble getting Lascaux on that site.

So, now I am considering Lascaux II. We went there in 2001 and really liked it. Reading a comparison of II and IV, I am leaning toward II. Alas, the English tour for II is at 1:30, and we have a Font de Gaume reservation at 11:30. I know we could get to the Lascaux tour in time, but it will be quite a rush, and will impact the laid-back feel we want for our vacation. IV has a better time, as you noted, for the English tour that day. We may just go to Lascaux II a different day, spending the morning on one of our other activities, having lunch, then making the 1:30 Lascaux II time. Decisions, decisions! I guess I'll look at my Michelin map again, see what other things in our plans take us in the Montignac and Les Eyzies direction, and sleep on it. Our days aren't overpacked with activities, and the area is relatively compact, so we can schedule our plans in many ways.
19 days until our departure for France, 34 days until we arrive at our gite in La Roque Gageac, and 39 days until Font de Gaume!
Yay!
