I am wondering if anyone has done this drive. It is my first time driving in France with my sister. We are staying in La Ciotat a couple of nights and then heading to St.Remy. I would like to NOT do tolls or highways, but prettier roads and maybe through towns , villages? Even tho the Gorge du Verdon is so gorgeous, I do not want to drive through any areas anywhere near so scarey. An easy and calm way to get to St.Remy please and thank you for any help. Patricia
ViaMichelin.com is good for plotting driving routes. It gives three options for La Ciotat-St. Remy, and I don't think any go through the gorge. You'll probably want to stick with #1 or #2 since #3 shows a much lower average km. per hour.
I haven't yet visited this area, so I can't offer any personal guidance.
Thank you and much appreciate any advice. I will look at the 3 routes again - I had done so already and thought there were a lot of switchback scenarios, but I probably will be fine. Merci
If anyone has done that drive, I'd love to know. Thanks
