L'Amuse Bouffe is a wonderful new restaurant at 65 Rue dAmsterdam in a richly vibrant and art historically important neighborhood in Paris. A few streets away from the site of Cailleboitte's magnificent painting "Paris Street, Rainy Day" now in the Art Institute of Chicago, L'Amuse Bouffe is a comfortable, affordable, and delicious culinary destination. Chef/Proprietor Thierry is warm and engaging and makes everyone feel at home. The prix fixe menu prices tonight were 17 Euros or 20 Euros for a two course or three course meal without wine and for me seemed like an incredible bargain. Thierry's menu changes daily and I can't wait to eat at L'Amuse Bouffe again soon.
Thanks for sharing. I have a question on your duplicate post.
Laura ,
Sorry new to the forum but have been following Rick's suggestions for years. Thierry very recently opened L'Amuse Bouffe and I think it is a restaurant worth noting. I think it is a worthwhile discovery for fellow Rick Steve's folks. Hope that you check it out. We happen to be staying next door and stumbled upon L'Amuse Bouffe.
Thanks Gregg. We'll try it out. Could you post the closest cross street.
Cross street: Rue de Parme down from Place de Clichy at 65 Rue d'Amsterdam
Hope you enjoy it!
What a clever name! I Googled for more info and it had "Amuse Bouffe" but only showed on a map where it is... no real info other than name and address. Obviously it's so new even Google hasn't really caught up to it yet. Thanks for posting about it... I'll be sure to check it out next trip!
Our family of six went to L'Amuse Bouffe for dinner tonight. Food was very good and owner/cook/waiter was very nice and accommodating. Menu of 17 euro for entree and plat or plat and dessert. 20 euro for all three. Choice of 4 entrees, 5 plats and 5 desserts plus other items not on menu but offered to us. Everything was very good. It is located between train station and Place Clichy on Rue Amsterdam.
