Kut'zig bus in Colmar.

Does anyone have experience using the Kut'zig bus, sort of a hop on/hop off bus to visit the villages along the wine route in Alsace?

Carole, I too would welcome guidance regarding the Kut'zig bus. We will be in Colmar 4/23-25. Does the bus run seasonally? Is it available during these dates? Thanks, in advance, for any insights. Tom

You may disregard my inquiry above. I note on the Kut'zig website the tours begin on April 28th.

I did it last year, Sat, June 24
They only run certain days…I think fri-sun
we took the train to Colmar, and picked this bus up right outside the station. I had already bought our tickets ahead.
We enjoyed it very much….it was during a hot snap, so we were so hot at the end, I didn’t enjoy Colmar like I would have liked. Just have to go back.( in winter! Lol)

The little villages are so charming….loved riquewihr the most.

Haven't been yet, we're going in September, and I'm planning to use this service to get around (some) of the wine villages.

Here's the website for the Kut’zig bus for anyone looking for details of how it works: https://kutzig.fr/en/

I just checked, they run from Tuesdays through Sundays and public holidays, through September.

We stayed in Colmar in Aug 2023 and used the Kut'zig shuttle bus to visit towns along the Alsace Wine Route. We bought tickets ahead of time and picked up the bus at the Colmar train station (it also stops after that at the Colmar Tourist Office, but you might not get on if the bus is full, although we never had that problem at any of the stops). Some people tried to buy tickets from the driver, but were told they had to get tickets ahead of time and were denied entry onto the bus.

The shuttle bus stops in each of the towns every 1 1/2 hours, and was right on time at every town over the 2 days that we used it. Very easy, very convenient, and not that expensive, plus you can follow the bus on the route on their app if you like, but as I said, they're very punctual. Highly recommended.

This will be our second time in Colmar, and we didn't get to the villages so this will be our major focus during our 2 nights in Colmar, before heading to Beaune.
