i've been stalking flights from either Newark (EWR) to Paris (CDG) or JFK to CDG for a few months now.
Prices and frequent flyer miles/Chase Points weren't looking very good. Then, yesterday, we got good round trip, nonstop flights from EWR to CDG in Economy including picking our seats and a checked bag for 71,500 miles. Delta was not a good deal. However, today, I checked Delta which has nonstop tickets for 51,000 frequent flyer miles and a better return time. We have the same deal with picking our seats and receiving a checked bag for free. We are flying from September 19, 2025 to October 1, 2025.
In May 2024, the best deal for frequent flyer miles from EWR to CDG was 83,300 which we took.
Now may be a good time to look at flights.

I get several emails a week about such specials, they seem to be pretty common on most airlines. You just need a good source to alert you to them. And of course the ability to take the trip!

Back in Oct I snagged a Cdg to Monterey Ca on American for 22,000 miles per person for this May. What a deal!
