My friend and I will be ending our 2 week trip with 5 nights in Paris. Can someone recommend a place to stay on the left bank that has connecting rooms/a triple/maybe a suite? We're open to hotels, b&b's, apartments. We know we won't be in the room much, but after 10 days together we might need a little space. Appreciate any recommendations!

Not sure why no one has responded here. It sounds like you're doing some prudent advance planning.
May I suggest Vacation In Paris as a resource? www.vacationinparis.com. They rent apartments in Paris and might be able to get you the kind of accommodations you're looking for. I've used them several times and have found them very helpful.

Why does it have to be rooms with connecting doors? Wouldn't 2 rooms side by side suffice? They would surely be easier to find.

I second the vacationsinparis.com. Give them a call and see what they've got available. Their prices are pretty reasonable for what you get.
