my own opinion is GO. haven't been to this festival but have been to reims. we took the train from paris, walked around the town, sat, had lunch and champagne, then we did a tour with a-l-allure-champenoise.fr thru town and out to vineyards and stop at a winery/cave. wanted to taste local champagne not want we can buy here.
festivals are fun to go to and enjoy, the pagentry, the people, all the ambiance. we went to a wine festival in bardolino italy and it still is a highlight for is. if possible, stay in a hotel overnight in reims (city center saturday to sunday), leave early from paris with an overnight bag and if early check in or hold bags. that will give you an opportunity to enjoy day and night. book early room and train. you won't regret it. bring your camera, small denominations of euros and great attitude. eat drink and be merry
