We'll be there for 3 weeks early June...would love to go out to hear music, jazz in particular
My favorite when I lived in Paris was the Duc des Lombards where I saw a lot of jazz celebrities (who sometimes came incognito)

Another Jazz Club is right next door (same street, rue des Lombards) : Le Baiser Salé:
On the left bank, the best known is Le Caveau de la Huchette which is like a parisian Blue Note :)))
This is the most comprehensive listing of jazz happenings in Paris and France:

This is every genre other than classical:

Thank you so much for posting this information on jazz and music in Paris! I We are embarking on our one week best of Paris tour later this week. It’s the first international trip for my husband and I in many years. We will be staying in the Rue Cler district. And despite the busy itinerary, I hope we can venture out to hear some music in the evenings.
Good idea, mousenose!
Because if, during the day, rue Cler is the place in Paris where there is the highest concentration of North American tourists with the RS guide in hand, after 8 p.m. the whole 7th arrondissement is deadly boring for those who want to enjoy their Parisian evenings
I don't know any Parisian who would want to go out and who would say to himself "hey, tonight I'm going to have fun in the 7th arrondissement" :)))
