Jacquemart Andre

We're heading to the Jacquemart Andre museum in Paris on May 1 (it's one of the few things open). Tickets are timed because of the special exhibit (ours are for 10:15am). Does anyone know if people are allowed to leave the museum for lunch and then return later in the afternoon on the same tickets? Thanks in advance.

I don't know the answer to your question but there is small cafe on site.

This is a wonderful museum, as you know it was someone's house and now a house museum. The area is residential. I would go to the beautiful and wonderful cafe in the museum. I went and it was lovely. The park is also a must see near by. And there is another house museum nearby ( both are in RS Paris guide book).

Cathedral Nevsky where Picasso was married is a few blocks away and while very small, is absolutely breathtaking - like being in a guilded jewelbox. Parc Monceau is situated between the two and is a small, charming park frequented by locals. Jacquemart-Andre is just lovely and even without a special exhibit, has quite a good art collection. I don't know for sure if one can return to the home after leaving but suggest it doesn't take long to tour and if you want to explore the other places mentioned, visit JA then enjoy lunch in their cafe then, head thru the park to Cathedral Nevsky. enjoy!

The other house museum near the Jacquemart Andre is the Nissim de Camondo: http://www.lesartsdecoratifs.fr/en/museums/musee-nissim-de-camondo/.

It's indeed very nice and very interesting. As a bonus, it's on the Paris Museum Pass (the Jacquemart Andre is not). http://en.parismuseumpass.com/musee-musee-nissim-de-camondo-14.htm

However, it's not open on May 1, and it's closed every Monday and Tuesday (and this year, May 1 is a Monday, so it's "doubly closed").
