We will have 8 days in France flying into Orly airport @ 5:30pm and departing from Paris, Gare de Nord.
Would it be best to get a rental car at the airport to visit the WWII sites and Mont St. Michel and then finish with
our stay in Paris? Where do you recommend that we stay? We wish to visit Versaille also.
Day 1 (Tues) arrive @ 5:30pm Orly [rent car and stay near Versaille?]
Day 2 (Wed) Visit Versaille early stay near Versaille?
Day 3 Drive to Caen - D-day beaches - drive to Mont St. Michel
Day 4 Early Mont St. Michel and drive back to Paris [ drop off rental car]
Day 5 Paris
Day 6 Paris
Day 7 Paris
Day 8 6pm train
Or should we go to Caen straight from the airport and visit Versaille before returning to Paris?
I would appreciate any suggestions for places to stay and what makes the most sense.
Any fine tuning to this very general plan would be so helpful.
