Is There a High Speed Train Barcelona to Bordeaux?

Hello All you travelers,

Im traveling first time to Europe in about a month and would like to know if theres a high speed train from Barcelona to Bordeaux.

Im planning on trying to avoid flying if possible and prefer sleeping on a train than a plane!

Any and all advise is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

There doesn't seem to be a direct rain or a sleeper.
Put your dates into Trainline.com and see the choices - 6 - 10 hours on average, with one change.

Thanks for the tip re: thetrainline.com

Have you had an issue booking with them?

I am also thinking of a eurorail pass so perhaps that might be an alternative but there IS a line called inoui thats a 6hr 19min jaunt with 1 stop!

Thanks for the link to the SNCF site Jazz+Travels (cool name btw!).

I rethought about taking the plane but having to get to the airport early and all the time spent minus well enjoy the journey by train ipod, book and coffee in hand!

I always use Trainline for booking, even for short trips at home. Never had a problem using them in Spain or Italy.

TVG InOui is not a line but a train type, namley the fastest and much more comfortable compared to it's budget twin TVG OuiGo. In Narbonne you have to change to the slower IC, as described above. Reservation is compulsory for both trains.
