We're buying our tickets to Versailles and noticed the option for buying train tickets. Is it worth it?

It's the train within the grounds to take people to various sites.

If you have any desire to say - walk out to the Queen's Hamlet - thinking hey, we can catch the train on the way back (like we did) - I would suggest buying tickets. They will prioritize those with roundtrip tickets before they will take people who need to buy a ticket for the return. We stood in line for a while and then just decided to walk because it was clear we weren't going to get a seat any time soon. If you are interested and have time, we really enjoyed the walk out through the gardens to the Hamlet.
