Is Avis the best choice for Annecy to Colmar trip?

I am planning to travel from Annecy to Colmar via Beaune by rental car, then TGV to Paris.
I have concluded that Avis is best option as they seem to have the only option for drop off in Colmar.
(it is difficult to determine which rental car companies drop off in Colmar, I have been doing it by the cut-and-try method, haven't found a shortcut).
Is Avis my best option?

Tha Avis location in Colmar is right at the train station, so that is convenient

Thanks to all who have tried to help, I have concluded that as Avis operates at both the Annecy & Colmar train stations, it is the best option. The one caveat is that the Annecy AVIS counter business hours are M-F, 9-12 & 13-17 while Colmar hours are M-F 8:30-12:30 & 13:30-18:30; Sat 8:30 -12:30, so rental outside of daytime weekday hours and on much of the weekend is not possible.

that is the case for many or even most non big airport locations, no matter who, in much of (not painting with too broad a brush here, I hope) Europe.

Many are either closed completely on Saturdays or only for a short time, and almost all on Sundays.

The fastest route will take you through Switzerland - you will need to pay CHF40 for the toll Vignette.

If you stay entirely in France you will be about the same time or a little slower than if you take trains or trains or train with a connecting bus, but without the French tolls, the Vignette, or any of the hassle of getting a car (remember your IDP for France).

As the OP is going to Beaune first, no need to cut through Switzerland, but there will be French motorway tolls.
